Just a quick video about the mining issues on the Acer Nitro 5 Laptop with the RTX 3070 GPU and what settings I made to have a stable hashrate.
The steps I have made settings this laptop are the following:
Install Windows 10
A soon as windows made the GPU driver update, I installed GPU-Z and saved the original GPU BIOS (94.04.43.00.9E).
Installed STOP UPDATES 10 so no further updates are to be made by Windows.
Install NitroSense – it can be found on a sepparte partition, make sure you don`t delete that partition in the windows install wizzard. Open the app and se the fans to MAX.
Go to Device Manager – Disable AMD RADEON graphics card
Go to Battery Power & Sleep – Set NEVER to both drop downs.
Go to Battery – Performance mode
Install and set up your miner.
Always start miner and do not start MSI Afterburner until the DAG file is generated.
Start the AB and overcloak.
There are some rare situations when laptops have a massive hashrate drop to 0, if this happends then go to your Pheonixminer folder, open the config file with Notepad and add -clKernel 0
Hope this helps.
